My favourite kind of EOL lamps. I like gear that produce some kind of light at lamp EOL. Rapid start like this used to be common here, and sometimes the lamps would sort of flash, sometimes they would violently flash (almost like switch start EOL) and sometimes they just stay quietly dim without any flicker at all. Energy saver 34 watt lamps would sometimes show a faint glow at both ends with the centre of the lamp completely dark (it would be more light than a stuck starter on switch start). This makes far more interesting EOL than your typical unprotected HF ballast that makes a violent show, but only for about a minute before vacuum loss (which results in a boring unlit tube). I also like switch start EOL, the strobing is a bit annoying, but once the starter gets stuck, you see either orange light through whatever end blackening there is (or end banding) or you see the orange light with the cathode shield shadow. Although hard on the ballast, they make for fun things to watch.

The lamps in the Boxes are GE F20 T12 CW made in Hungary. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me. I also have these in the for sale and trade forum.
