o938 = March 1999 or 2009, made in Shaw, Oldham (UK). Not sure which of those two dates it will be..?

Ria in Aberdeen
It'll be all right in the end, and if it isn't all right, it isn't the end Smiley

Hmmm, possibly, but that sheet says that the second character is always a letter, this is a number, plus this is a 4-character code, which looks like Osram. Willing to be proven wrong if someone knows different..? Didn't Osram make some lamps with the Radium name..?

Nor have I, strange it doesn't have the country marked on it..? That code definitely looks Osram/Shaw though.

You're right. Radium was a subsidiary company of Osram. So they made a lot of lamps for each other. For example all Osram branded Metal Halide Lamps are made by Radium in Wipperf├╝rth.

Osram L20W/39
Osram HTI 1500W/60/P50
Philips SOX 180W

Here's a photo of the whole bulb, the thing looks like a mirror now
Interestingly the metal support inside can clearly be seen as it has shielded part of the glass inside.
