Interesting autoleak transformer with LOADS of primary taps! (Including 120 and 277v, which I believe are common in North America). The secondary is wired in much the same manner as our choke geared setups and the tap which is momentarily shorted to the neutral by a TRIAC is an old way of using the secondary winding of the transformer, (or choke as we did here) as the pulse transformer to start the lamp.

Manufactured articles should be made to be used, not made to be sold!

Fee, Fye, Fow, Fum, A dead man's eye and a parrot's BUM!
