MAZDA-GENERAL ELECTRIC BLUE 25 WATT

MAZDA-GENERAL ELECTRIC BLUE 25 WATT

I have tons of these blue glass bulbs. The date code on this particular stem press is something like 46, underscored 25, and B0 (or O) they're hard to read.

These emit a nice blue and aren't the cheapie Chinese painted crap that I'm used to seeing.

Thats a nice find with real natural coloured glass bulb! B0 means 120V, 25 means the power in watts, and 46 is the date code according to the chart here. So probably October 1943 or 35. If it really is an underscore under the 25, then it was made at Nela Park. However that would be pretty rare since they primarily made new developments. Check if there are small dots either side of this, which would indicate one of the other factories.

Wow

That's looks like an older Coiled C-7A filament with three support construction here.

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

Dr Fischer in France (the old Philips factory) still makes them in red and blue. The red are nearly all made for Zoo-Med in USA as reptile nightlights. They also make a light red/orange for electric fires. Plus daylight blue, which is not so saturated as this one. Until recently they also made blacklight-blue incandescent. All are in A19 or A21 (for 100W), and R20/R30 for reflectors.
