SOX collection so far.

Alot of money has been sunk into getting a stock of bulbs going. I have 6 norelcos and two Philips so far. I'd like tk get at least eight more. I think that would pretty much secure a lifetimes worth of SOX yardlighting.

Excellent score! I have never seen NORELCO branded (philips) SOX over here! Wish i could find one with that branding on

As rich says them Norelco / Philips lamps were some of the best lamps made at the time.

Thanks guys! And yes hurry. Before it is too late. I'm stocking up enough bulbs to run a single fixture for the rest of my life. That's why I'm not buying anything other than 55 Watters and the occasional 35 or 26 watter (maybe) if they're cheaper... If times were better I'd have bulbs of every wattage for the sake of having them but in the case of low pressure sodium it's more of a timed situation.

Nice collection.

I only have 2 55w SOX lamps (1 came with the only fixture I have, the 2nd was bought as a spare).
Its not in use, but even if I did set it up, that should be plenty to last me...

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

Nice stash.

I have 5 18w lamps, and one each of the 35w, 55w, and 90w lamps. I only have gear to run the 18w lamps right now so the other wattages are just collection pieces.

@Xmas Thanks! What fixture do you have?

@Joseph originally I wanted to collect 18 watt lamps since they are small and I generally like more compact stuff... But then I heard of the plant closing down and I saw a cheaper posting of 6 NORELCO 55 watt lamps.... So I hopped on that ebay listing and ever since then I made it a plan to only collect that wattage. I wish I could have some 18 watters but my main goal is just to have a working Sox fixture with plenty of bulbs to feed it for the rest of my days and 55 watts just happened to be what I stumbled on lol. Luckily the bulbs only run for around 40 each. So if I buy a bulb every paycheck (assuming I don't have actual responsibilities to take care of) I will have enough bulbs to guarantee me at the end of the year hopefully.

Yeah I would have opted for the cheapest wattage I could get the lamps in bulk at this point. The 18w lamps are super expensive right now over here. My cheapest option for them is to buy a case of them from Home Depot US and drive down to Buffalo to pick them up. I don't really need a case so I'm holding off on 5 lamps for now. Maybe I'll get lucky and find some more at Restore lol.

I'm kinda of tempted to either get one or two more 35w or 55w lamps before the end of the year since they're still the cheapest wattage to buy in Canada. They can still be had for around $50 CAD here.
