Those 70s white devices must have been a popular thing in CA. I never see 70s houses or many 80s with white devices here in my area, unless they've been changed out. Personally I prefer white myself, but it depend on the wall color or where it is. Sometimes ivory, almond or brown looks better. Although I really like gray or black with stainless cover plate too.

Collect vintage incandescent and fluorescent fixtures. Also like HID lighting and streetlights.
