Wow, a nice early Metalarc lamp. What's the color like on these compared to newer ones?

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

The nice early ones would be from the late '60s and early '70s. They have the same sleeve as the Mercury ones from this era except red and says "Metalarc."

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
-I'll save any vintage lamp! Smiley

Should be the same as any other probe start lamp.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.
