I recently restored it. I replaced the old ballast and put it away. And replaced it with a advance 250w mh and mv ballast from 1997.

Sweet! Any idea on the brand? The state prison near me has these on beaten concrete poles. I can't remember the last time I've seen them used though. Highmasts light the entire property now. they were MH but now are LED. Not sure if the ones here are MV or HPS but for some reason I recall them being HPS. I'll have to drive by at night and see if they're still used.

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

We had "post tops" of up to 4kW MV here. . The GE Powr Glow A4000 and the Sylvania Spaceliter both used up to 4 1kW MV.

Nice and bright, and also huge, they were 6ft wide.

Nice fixture!

I like all kinds of lighting and electrical, except for LED, which I classify as a disease.

I know, but these are big. I wonder much about the 250 watt in such small fixture. Such kind of post tops overhere had max 125 watt MV but 80 watts was more common.
