Nice fixture. What setting would use 277v fluorescent troffers? The only 277v lighting that I’ve seen here are the occasional outdoor floodlights and freeway lighting.

I like all kinds of lighting and electrical, except for LED, which I classify as a disease.
- HID lamp and fixture collector
- Vintage incandescent lamp collector
Power Company: Southern California Edison
Proudly suffering from Westinghouse Lifeguard sickness since 2019.
Save the sodium lamps!

The best place to find 277v lighting is in schools and offices and shopping centres, the bigger the building the more likely it is, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the info, I didn’t know that. The lighting in my school is 120v, but there’s plenty of grocery stores here that use fluorescent troffers and are in large buildings, so those could be 277v.

Over here it seems like most schools built prior to around 1970 still used 120v lighting circuits. All the lights I've salvaged from schools were 120v units. Over here 277v lighting is rare as we typically use 347v instead.
