Here is one of the newly relamped mercs that I posted about in the forums. I’ll get a daytime shot soon so the fixture and the new NEMA tag is visible.

The color looks like pure white in the picture, like a MH lamp.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

The lamp is a deluxe white lamp and there is a blue NEMA sticker on the side. But I agree, the picture does make it look like a MH lamp.

A merc got relamped? Awesome to hear, relamping of mercury street lights has become less common in recent years. Thanks for sharing.

May all the great lighting technologies have their place in history.

Is this a cobrahead or a NEMA? Minneapolis has a few 400w merc lights that they still relamp which is cool. They are city owned and apparently they should be safe from LED changeouts. There's only like 10-15 that I know of.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

the oval shaped orb of light makes me think a cobrahead. Awesome they relamped this! The utility here gave up relamping 100W MVs around 2014. All other wattages they stopped relamping around 2000.

It's a NEMA.The cobraheads are mostly limited to highways around here.

Interesting. I wonder if it has an asymmetrical bucket instead of Type V. I hate seeing bucket lights used on public roads. They belong on private property IMO. Looks cheap and they do a poor job lighting the road. Too much glare and spill light.

Look at the purple reflection to the right of the pole transformer, definitely a NEMA + mefurd stated the NEMA sticker is on the side , a cobra head would be on the bottom.
