GE M400 in Santiago de Compostela

Up until late 2018 there was a row of these in my home town, since been replaced unfortunately for LED (sigh.). I know much more about British streetlamps and this model looks American (edit: it is!). Looks old enough to have been Mercury once and then maybe converted to HPS.

GE M-400.

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

Thanks for the ID! Did a bit of searching and seems that this was quite an early model. Strange that these ended up in Spain!

Unfortunately I am not sure if there are any more. I know of a couple of M 400 A (I think?) and a few other old LPS lanterns. MV is still common in many rural areas nearby.

It definitely is, although a couple of areas I know have started changing them for LED.

There are some M-400 (this first version) in Italy too.
