I was very pleased to find these on Facebook local, usually I can't afford old discharge lighting but in this case I paid 10 pounds including post for these never used, 90s SOX lamps. I gave them their very first run-ups in my streetlamp, pictures will be posted tomorrow.

FarceBuke, yuk

I have never signed up for an account, never wanted one, but I still get spam from them telling me friends I never knew I had supposedly want to get in touch. Oh and the latest one is trying to scam my personal details by getting me to reset my password. As I don't have one, that could be somewhat difficult, but they keep trying. I want to know how they got my email address, I suppose it got onto some scammer's list, oh well

Nice lamps, though. I like the construction of Osram LPS lamps

I personally have been using Facebook for almost 3 years and have had no problems with the site before. There is quite a good lighting community there, though many of the members of those groups are on here too. It is very strange that you get Emails when you have never even signed up, as you say they are probably scammers that are pretending to be Facebook. Facebook local/marketplace is a good source of rare lamps, though it is quite user unfriendly, rare stuff turns up fairly frequently for cheap. Unfortunately most sellers aren't willing to split lots or post, but some of my rarer lamps like my Osram Accent Tangerine lamp and my Atlas neon flower lamp were had off of Facebook... I also have a couple of old British made dichroic PAR lamps on their way from FB

Nice, always wanted one of those dichroic lamps, but I detest "social media" intensely, it's just too intrusive. This is about as social as I get

That's understandable! Social media can be unnervingly intrusive sometimes...

Yep, because of that I prefere internet forums like this.

LED will never beat other lamps. Incandescent Lamp High Pressure Sodium Mercury Vapor Lamp
