There were mouse nests in one end of each fixture. Moisture from those corroded away the edges in the immediate area but they're otherwise solid. The reflectors were almost completely unaffected.

I suspect that the ballast in this photo was bad as well. Notice the black stain on the reflector; the stack got blown over one night and when I moved them the next morning I saw a small pool of black liquid on the deck.

Nice light! I have a similar light, made by Benjamin in the US though. Mine is 2x F40 preheat with similar Benjamin pluger sockets. Interesting to see a Canadian made version. Seems Amalgamated Electric made a bunch of fixtures designs from American manufacturers under license.

Be careful when cleaning these to avoid using any chemicals or abrasives on the sockets. Those sockets, being made by Benjamin Electric, are plated with cadmium underneath the enamel.
