Nice! Good choice!

Good quality things are awesome. Cheaply made things are not.

I picked it because it’s a bit quieter than a normal core and coil, and because it has the capacitor potted inside, hence a better capacitor normally, since it is not replaceable. I had one of the advance dry capacitors fail on me once, and I’m not eager to repeat the experience.

Nice! I have a Magnetek 50 watt mercury vapor version. It is currently in use remote ballasting a floor lamp with my Sylvania 50 watt mercury vapor lamp in it.

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

I have one that's also 175w but an older MV only one. I currently have a mogul socket mounted to it to use it as a barebones 175w MV lamp tester. I might end up repurposing it if I get something like a small size clamshell and need a remote ballast for it.
