22w fluorescent magnifying desk lamp

There is no brand on this but it was bought from Jaycar Electronics.
The tube and starter are protected by a clear plastic guard.
There is a flip up cover over the magnifying glass.
Tube is an FCL 22w T9 and although there is no mention of colour temperature it appears to be Daylight.
It was designed to be clamped onto a table or desk but the clamp eventually broke dropping the lamp onto the table. Fortunately there was no other damage.

I was in Jaycar recently and it seems that all the fluorescent work lights have been replaced with LED versions.

It is neat that your has a starter

I haven't been to a Jaycar store in ages but it doesn't surprise me that all the fluorescent work lights have been replaced with LED versions. Apart from the crap-quality clamp that came with this one, at least I'll be able to replace the tube and starter in the future... that is until T9 circular fluoro's become obsolete

@LampLover: the Luxo version was available in Australia. I remember there were a couple of them where I used to work and I recall them being manual preheat.

Was the clamp made out of plastic? Sorry to hear that it broke but good thing that the tube and lantern are intact

Well I haven't seen LED versions of worklights but oh geez LEDisease are going into these applications. Dunno how the eyes of the workers or inspectors are going to cope with the horrendous glare of the LED light reflection

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

@Flurofan96: the clamp was made out of a sort of pot metal. My brother has an identical lamp and its clamp broke as well
