Fluorescent from birth

Thanks all. It is a thing of beauty. The choke is cuboid and massive, runs very cool and makes no sound. The PFC capacitor is original. The opening of the thermal starter contacts results in a single, muffled "thup" sound as the lamp lights from its 1.5 seconds of preheat.

Cathode shields promote boring fluorescents.

Very nice vintage piece. I'm assuming BC fluorescent lamps haven't been manufactured for a long time.

Wow I didn't know they used 4pin starters there too. Excellent score.
