I thought BELL still had a factory running in the UK? and that BELL tube could be triphosphor too

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

Regarding the BELL tube, TL8W (Lee) says that they are made in the Chinese factory that produces OPPLE lamps along with those for Kosnic. It is triphosphor.

Ah I see, never heard of OPPLE lamps. I was pretty convinced that it was going to be a triphosphor tube as its more common these days and 8W tubes can come in either halo or triphospher (halophosphate ones still available)

I hadn't heard of OPPLE lamps either but this information came from TL8W when he commented on a separate photo I uploaded of the BELL 3500k tube. Incidentally, they were an Ebay purchase.

I don't know whether the common-or-garden 8w T5 cool white's available here are triphosphor or not.

Mostly halophosphate as triphospher is more expensive and is mostly used in big wattage tubes
