Restore find. Got this for a dollar, it does appear to work but i'm not sure how good their electronic ballasts were.

I had one of these when I was a kid, and I was so surprised by not only how light weight it was, but also how the socket
looks like it could hold a glow start bottle, and the base looks like it could hold a magnetic ballast.
So I was really surprised when I found out it was electronic.

I have a few of these and they all work fine. I don't have them in regular use though. Overall LOA seemed to make decent products but their fluorescent stuff rarely is driven to full power.

To resist is to piss in the wind, anyone who does will end up smelling.

There's three things I definitely remember from using one of these...
The light output was a little dull... especially compared to a sylvania circline adapter I also had.
There was a noticeable acrid smell from the adapters base... although there was nothing wrong with the adapter.
The lamp would not light if there was a broken electrode filament.
