What was that fixture used for? Looks like most of the light is wasted by the design of the housing.

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

I don't know, the guy I got it from had it in his garage. The ballast was bad but from 1972. I scrapped it for parts.

I use real incandescent Christmas lights, miniature lights from the 70's, C6's from the 50's and modern C7's and C9's. NO ugly LED's! I don't care what it cost. Real Christmas lights and Preheat Fluorescent!

Yes, got it at a flea market. I tossed the fixture. The ballast you see in the picture awaits a fixture.

I've seen these before at a gas station...they had a diffuser and ballast channel cover /reflector
