Recent "Haul" of Australian Market GLS dating from 1978 to 2000

Recent "Haul" of Australian Market GLS dating from 1978 to 2000

This is a haul of G.L.S. lamps I obtained recently. All the the cylinderical "Tuck" packs are Australian Lamps from E.L.M.A.
The long row of boxed lamps are Italian imports and the four at the bottom are Indonesian imports from about the time E.L.M.A. closed, (2002). The oldest Tuck pack is at the upper right, just below the right hand most PAR-38. It dates from about 1978. The youngest tuck pack is at the far left of the row of tuck packs, it shows German Ostam Logos and dates from around 1898-90. All the other tuck packs show treaty of Versailles Osram Logos and most of the solid colour ones date from the mid eighties. The PAR-38s are not Australian, we never made PAR-38s here.
All the boxed Italian G.L.S were bought in for K-Mart Australia and they state 2000 or 2500 hour lifetimes, their cold filament resistances do not statistically depart much from the resistances of the 1000 hour rated Australian lamps in the tuck packs above of the same power ratings. All the Australian and Italian lamps have 2HE filaments. The Indonesian ones at the bottom have 5LC wreath filaments and no stem fuses, typical if the cheap imports which "sunk" E.L.M.Aust.

Yes, Dave and I think one of the Osrams is too, possibly from Lexington or Winchester in Kentucky?

I dinn't shop for these Robert, they were just left on my front doorstep in a plastic bag!
You can't buy these anymore, not for more than 5 yrars now for the newer models here and not for 35 years for the oldest depicted.
Most, supprisingly, are about 20-25 years old!

What brand are the Italian ones that were bought in for K-Mart?

Say 'O' for an Osram, think about tonight today (old advertising jingle)
