Whats the thing on the wood next to the left lamp holder?

I'm not sure, it's possibly some paint from the past. I purchased this house with the fittings already installed

Yeah I might check it out again the next time I'm out there. I thought they were splotches of paint at first.

Those little things are deff some sorta bug nests (or maybe cocoons)

--------
Nice fixture/fitting though!

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

wasps

Spray them with wasp-spray (at night) to kill any live wasps.
Then next day, knock down and - burn them - to finish off any eggs/larva.

I had another look while out in the garage and it appeared to just be splotches of paint on the timber by whoever carelessly painted the ceiling. It does look rather three-dimensional in this photo.

One of the better Cadet fittings after they stopped using the awful spring-loaded lamp holders.

PS looks like mud-wasp nests to the left of the fitting.

Say 'O' for an Osram, think about tonight today (old advertising jingle)

They may look like nests but they are actually random splotches of paint by a careless decorator in the past. Yeah these are good fittings, the spring loaded ones are awful indeed. These have Philips tubes in them with Osram starters.
