Lights in the Woodshop

Lights in the Woodshop

Here are all the lights in the woodshop. Two 6-lamp F54T5, two 4-lamp F40T12 troffers, and one 2-lamp F96T12 slimline. Closest one in the center and the middle fixture are the two F54T5 high bay fixtures. The farthest away in the center is one of the F40T12 troffers. The other F40 troffer is off to the left. The F96T12 slimline fixture is on the right. The F40 troffer on the left has a Philips Alto “contractor cool white,” and a GE “residential light” for the outer lamps and a pair of Feit Electric (Sylvania made) cool white deluxes for the inner lamps. The F54T5 fixtures came with lamps that look like some type of cool white. The back F40 troffer has GE “garage & basement” lamps. The slimline fixture has Sylvania cool white deluxes in it. The T5 fixtures are programmed start. I would describe the startup like a “smart preheat” in that the ballast initially applies heating voltage to the filaments and then across the lamps to strike the arc. The F40T12 and slimline fixtures both start up as expected for those lamp types. No LED’s, all fluorescent. It gives quite a startup show having all these lights come on at once.
