Got any lamps? The green-etched GE is actually a Sylvania. Save the black-etched GEs as well. REAL GEs.

Current: US 120v 60hz
Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-I'll save any vintage lamp... dead or alive! Smiley

Sadly, i'm not allowed to bring home any lamps, however, i do get to keep any gear that's being tossed. (Ballasts, Fixtures, Etc.)

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

I think it's because the lamps contain mercury and have to be recycled.

Yup. Top is Sylvania made. Has Sylvania batch number and is sylvania green ecologic print.

The more you hate the LED movement, the stronger it becomes.

Get someone at the dealership to " hide " the lamps and then later when you are off duty, take them home. Not breaking any rules that way... it'll be just like a typical private craigslist style deal.

I don't think i'm going to be taking any of the bulbs for a few reasons, some of the reasons being. 1, i don't work for the company, so if i take anything without permission, i could get into (legal) trouble. 2, If i do take any bulbs and the guy finds out about it, he could decide not to let me have any of the old fixtures/gear. And 3, i don't have any space for 8 footers at the moment.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

My apologies, I was under the impression you were the electrician who was replacing these with LED. Alot of people on here seem to work in the field and some also aren't allowed bulbs. Good point about the space. 8 foot bulbs are just too long and inconvenient to store. To bad these good bulbs are going to be destroyed.

Its unfortunate time after time I hear on here that no one is allowed lamps but they can have the fixtures and ballasts no problem. Whats the point of fixtures if they have no bulbs included. Cant really buy any new bulbs for it that were as good as the old. Don't understand electrician bosses. Their elitist 'you cant have any of this ' act is quite tiresome.
