Have these 1000 watt halide/merc ballasts taking up valuable real estate if anyone is close to my location soon come grab one for free! Cant ship due to the weight of these monsters!

You could use a USPS Priority Mail flat rate box. The medium flat rate box costs like $15 and you can ship anywhere in the United States up to like 70 pounds. You would just have to pack it well so the ballast doesn't burst the box apart.

I needed 11 of them and the shipping was astronomical. No wonder articles in stores are going up in price.

For the eleven A/E 1000w cobras. Need to check and see how many of the existing ballasts are good but they are late 60's/early 70's.
