LEDs on toaster

LEDs on toaster

These blue LEDs on a toaster. When the toaster is plugged in, the blue lights illuminate the LCD time displays. If the lever is pressed down, blue LEDs on the buttons light up when the options are selected.
Now, this is an old toaster I don't use anymore, I just pulled it out of storage to take a picture, which is why it's sitting on the floor.

Also I think this toaster was made around 2007-2010 but I'm not sure.

Most toasters here have only the handle and sometimes a dial for the thermostat and nothing else.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

I don't know why they have to be so complicated, they never used to be..! I agree about the 2 slices though, we really need to get a 4 slice one.

Sometimes I wonder if that many indicator lights are really necessary. I do like indicators, but on a toaster, they could've spent that money on making the cord come out the right end.

I have a table fan that is four speed : 1, 2 and 3 plus "turbo". When it is on the fastest speed (turbo), the air rushing through the grilles makes quite a loud noise. But there is an indicator light to tell you it is on turbo mode. I guess it's there to tell you so if for some reason you cannot hear it nor feel the air current... You can't use the argument of if it is unplugged, because there is no power to light the lamp nor to turn the blades !

Nowadays, appliances have to be flashy in order to generate more sales, so there you go...
