Can you estimate the ballast factor or measure lamp current? It seems in order to find one that lights decent, they have to be pretty old. I just got one with a GE from '74 and is still sort of weak like the newer ones. The line current says .76a but I measured 50w total wattage with less than .70a line current!

I do not know how to measure lamp current. It does say .88 amps line current.
