This is a pulse start MV, as it uses an internal ignitor (Thermal starter probably) instead of a starting probe and electrode.
The only pulse start MV I know, is the american EYE Moon Pulse, that designed to be operated on a CWA pulse start MH ballast and a MH ignitor.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

THIS IS NOT PULSE START MV. This is experimental, clear mercury lamp, used bimetal switch as starting device. This lamp was used only as engineering sample, find good condition of starts. KURVA!

This is an expieremental mercury lamp dor, used to test the function of a bi-metallic cut out, (to see of the arc tube heat alone was enough to trip it). If it worked it, (the bi-metallic strip) was then going to be used in full production-run metal halide lamps.
You have to learn to stop thinking like a user of lamps and switch your brain over to thinking like a CREATOR of lamps!!!
These things don't grow on trees like apples dor, they a MADE by people, very clever ingenious people!

Manufactured articles should be made to be used, not made to be sold!

Interesting how they look to have left the probes and the connections to them, instead of not using them All.
