This photo of this particular light tower with cobraheads is already historic, they were replaced with LED fixtures.

Some LED fixtures on this type of high mast actually look quite nice but this particular one instead of nice looking LEDs, it received Thorn CiviTEQ fixtures which look ugly. Here is a picture:

Pretty cool to see cobraheads being used as high mast lights. I've seen the inverse where cobraheads got replaced with high mast lights on conventional height poles.

It's a very Eastern European idea of using high masts with typical fixtures and while in the period when the use of such high masts became popular there were available symetrically illuminating downlighter industrial fixtures used as intented in industrial halls, generally most didn't care to put resources into the development of similar lights dedicated for high masts. Hungarians were a notable exeption as in Budapest there were high masts which at the top had a mushroom shaped construction which protected the dedicated floodlights inside. This quite a nice blend of a Eastern European idea with fixture made in the US. Likewise quite unique looking are some duos on the same pole with one fixture locally made and the other made by GE.

Here in Israel, most of the highmasts in interstates and junctions, are the same as in the US and Canada.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

Only in Grudziądz they used US style high masts with GE HMAA fixtures:

Rest of country used typical streetlight lanterns on high masts.
