There the type of lamp you would find on outside strings of lamps at carnivals and Christmas time nice find.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.

For our American friends B&Q is a large DIY chain here and on the continent which modelled itself on the US Home Depot, the two chains were almost identical.

Interested in the history of electric lighting and incandescent in particular and neon glow lamps.

Interesting . Hey Peter since early 2013 I've noticed that the Diall range of lightbulbs slowly took over the General Electric stock in B&Q and since my last visit to B&Q there were practically no General Electric lightbulbs left in stock

You are right, the Diall range are now sold in all their group stores throughout Europe under their local names Castorama in France being one they are owned by Kingfisher Group, these lamps are made for them but by whom I don't know...sorry

They should bring back the awesome quality stuff. B&Q long ago had this awesome display of lit up bulbs of the GE range. Now I only see a lit up display of the Diall LED bulbs
