Yes rjluna2 the one with the bruise has taken a sure big brunt

Apparently my parents are fed up with these low quality bulbs and have asked me to get some proper bulbs, which I gladly will. It shall require the trip to that shop in Reading or a search on Amazon with better luck

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

It is nice to know that your parent relied on you maintaining lights in your home. I am doing the same thing with my parent at home

Pretty, please no more Chinese failure.

Hmm yes after me blabbing about knowing which are the good or type of bulbs you need in what fixture therefore I ended up being the lighting maintenance person in the house

Cool that you do the same

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

My mother came to my flat the other day and sat in the room with the Cosmo sapphire on. She liked it so much she now wants a Cosmo in her table lamp.

HAHA cool that your mum was impressed now it looks like you can convert one of her favourite fixtures (such as a table lamp) to Cosmo by fitting a ballast and Cosmo bulb in it

Tell her that when she turns it one, she will be greeted by a turquoise blue glow but soon it will turn into a nice and bright incandescent glow

I will give LEDisease a taste of my shoe

She knows cos I turned the sapphire on while she was there. For about 15 seconds she looked like a zombie and then the more flattering colours come through

If she's serious about having it done I'll just buy another one of those sapphires off ebay, gut it, put the bulb in the lamp (or should I say "table luminaire") and the gear in a box somewhere and keep the sapphire body, stick a normal bulb in it or something.

To be honest, and I will suggest this to her, she'd be better off just buying one of those halogen table lamps, visually they give off an almost identical light to Cosmo and if the lamp goes one doesn't need a small bank loan to buy a new one
