Closeup of the New Headlights

Closeup of the New Headlights

Here's a closeup of the driver side headlight in my Jetta. The low beam is on to reduce the glare for this photo. The clarity and whiteness of the light and the fixture itself is amazing. Beautiful light quality that's better than when this car was brand new back in 2004.

How it consumes different watttage on low and high beam? I thought only the projector moves itself up and down with mechanical means to changes the height of the beam, according to what I've seen at a car mechanics lesson, at the special eduction school Shafririm at kibbutz Givat Hayim Icud.

I"m don't speak English well, and rely on online translating to write in this site.
Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

That is the same as (here) normal H4 (mostly with pre-2000 cars)...

The newer cars here tend to have separate reflector for high and low beam with 55W H7 each (e.g. Golf V), but with that the "low beam" remains ON when switched to high beam. So then it is 55W low beam and 110W high beam...

But I more liked the older H4 concept - when switching to high beam, the area closer to the car darkens, so you better see what is in the distance.

No more selfballasted c***

I updated the file info on both of my headlight pictures to include the correct wattage and voltage.
