I remember Linens n' Things. There used to be one near me but they tore down the old building to make all new fancypants stores for the "new gen" lol.

Hire a teenager while they still know everything. Lol. I shouldn't say that I might hurt someone's feelings.

Keep government out of the lighting industry.

Funny thing about fancypants shops, they appear to ONLY stock the overpriced pre-torn fancystuff nowadays. Want "simple and durable flat colors" clothing, youll have to search for it in the 2nd next town, as there isnt any in the nearest big place shopping centers

This was a 2 story building they removed the escalater and made this into some fancy shoestore. Downstairs its some arcade with glow in dark golf they went LED tubes and t8 blacklight but left the ballasts. I noticed some were flickering like rs

T12/ t17 there's a reason they made heavy magnetic ballasts

@ Lightingguy1994: I wonder if they converted them from 3X F40T12 to 2X F32T8?

Yes they have! The place used to be all T12 several years ago. They kept their 2x4 surface mount drop dish fixtures too. Classroom louvers were replaced though

Awesome they kept the fixtures. My high school actually replaced their 3 F40/RS wrap lights in the hallway with 2X F32T8 LBF wraps. I know this because of an old picture I saw of one of the hallways. The old wraps were injection molded too (the BEST!) I'm sure they were dim with yellowed diffusers, energy saving post-PCB ballasts and 34W lamps though so the downgrade to two F32T8s at low-power was probably a lumen match.

If I ever get any 3lamp turret or any shoplight, they will be 3 lamp F40T12 , via 2 lamp + 1lamp magnetic ballasts or my 3lamp magnetic
