That label is awesome.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

When I was a young kid, we had an undercabinet light with a bulb just like this one. I thought "Cool White" was a trademark. "Cool" meaning you can touch it without burning yourself (compared to an incandescent lamp). and "White" meaning it appears white when lighted.

That's very logical reasoning as a kid! When I was younger I actually didn't pay any attention to fluorescent bulbs themselves. I was into street lighting first, and it was only the fixtures themselves. Through the years I've become more diversified (more of a pack rat I guess you could say lol) and I love street light fixtures, their lamps, their photocells, their mounting arms, fluorescent fixtures and their lamps, their ballasts, etc.

Just saw that label last night actually. I dug out my three 4' 4 tube half-pipers to play with. On the back side of the fixtures was the label, I thought it was neat looking too.

That is an awesome, complete set up. Exchange the bulb asap! Then offer to swap out the fixture.

As a kid i was thinking "why the hell they call this cool white". The 2 types of tubes we had were Cool White (4000K) and Daylight (6500K), and the Daylight looked to me like the one that must be called Cool White

Episode 2 happened allready here, when i found out that in UK they call 4000K Daylight. Do they really see the natural daylight outside in this color over there ????

Why buy a lame thing as a replacement ? If it fails within a short time, it will be a bad gift. Get something decent that will last, as much as things last nowadays.... Some fair Electronic T8 is good choice

But you know how people get so excited about led cause there "new technology" I can win them over with that then move in for the taking. But when it craps out I'll be like, oh wonder why maybe you can pay me to install a t8 wrap
