That is used for F96T12 or F96T8 and operated for 51-75w depends on ballast operating on it right?

Yep, this fixture could be used with F96T8 (59W) or F96T12 (75W) slimlines. If you found a slim enough ballast (electronic probably) then you could use HO tubes as well (just change the sockets).

But you could fit a HO or VHO ballast in this no problem it's definitely big enough but I like the 75watt slimlines.

Was that fixture made by a company in Texas (I can't remember the name) by any chance? I have a single-lamp F72T12 strip that's built exactly the same way.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

I've seen similar 2X F40/RS strips like this with the curved edges made by Mercury Lighting.

Awesome fixture!
Would love to have something like that...if I had the space or use for it.

Colored Fluorescent's such as F40T12 Red or  Green or Blue are awesome...

I have some 4x96 slimline fixtures but only one is a strip. It is missing the end caps.

They are available online with electronic ballasts. (no just kidding those are the annoying tandem retrofit kits for 8' slimlines.)

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.

So they would have eight 4 foot tubes? That would be sorta cool if so.

@Dieselnut: I'm pretty sure he means those 4 lamp F32T8 retrofit kit that makes you 8ft 2 lamp light "energy efficient."

Power provider: Southern California Edison (SCE)

-Date decoder of some US lamps 1960-present.
-Switch and receptacle collector.
-I'll save any vintage lamp! Smiley

Yea I don't understand those things at all. Why not just change the ballast and install a pair of F96T8 59 watt tubes?

Nice! Personally, I'm not into fluorescent lights due to how much space they take, but a nice rebuild just the same.

Your mission - should you choose to except it - is to save unique and rare HID lighting before it's all scrapped.
