Well used floodlight

Well used floodlight

This is an old floodlight that spent the last 10 years lighting up my dads backyard. It was replaced because he needed a brighter floodlight. The front glass is gone the etch is gone and the reflective coating has mostly chipped away.
But looking at the base i can tell that it's a philips.

Here is a inside look.

That's so cool! I've never seen the inside of a PAR reflector bulb. I'm amazed this still worked after losing the front glass. Those Philips PAR reflectors are excellent from my experience.

I just put in one of these to light up my grandma's driveway, an 83 watt version made in Poland and designed to last 4 years.

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents!

Stop the lamp bans!

Philips did make some really good floodlights. some are still kicking after 10+ years.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.
