50w mercury vapor M250R2 night shot

Pardon the clutter, but here's sort of a night shot. I really like this a lot more with the clear mercury vapor than the LED bulb. It's perfect for the area. This fixture was my first cobrahead and when I got it it was 150w HPS FCO. I removed the ballast and it had gone through several conversions since then, but this one's probably my favorite. As far as I know there were no cobraheads made in 50 or 75w mercury vapor, however some manufacturers did (and AEL still does) offer 35w HPS. This light is borrowing the refractor from a 113, but I should really get a real GE refractor for this sometime.

Yeah, outdoors they are great. I hate them indoors though. I tried using a clear 50w in a hanging lamp and it looked really cool but I couldn't stand the terrible CRI.

Any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it wrong enough.

Nice! I have a bunch of 50w clear mercury lamps but only one ballast. If I had more ballasts I'd probably be tempted to convert a cobrahead with one. Yeah I tried running a 50w clear in my mini gumball I have mounted indoors and it kinda weird. I switched back to a /DX 50w for now.
