My Other T12 Shop Light Works Again

My Other T12 Shop Light Works Again

Click to view full size image

After Nick (Nicksfans) visited me, he diagnosed the problem with this shop light in my basement. One of the lamp holders was broken, so I replaced it and reattached the two blue wires. Now this fixture works perfectly, with a complete circuit between the two T12 lamps. Thank you Nick!

Glad you were able to resurrect this! I'll keep an eye out for a ballast cover too.

I like my lamps thick, my ballasts heavy, and my fixtures tough.

Nice that it's going again! Where's the rest of the fixture? Or is this one of those pre-troffer recessed drop ceiling lights?

Please check out my newly-updated website! McCann Lighting Company is where my street light collection is displayed in detail.

If it’s the same as the other one, it’s what’s left of a Simkar wraparound.

Hey Nick, yes this is the same as the other fixture in the basement. Thank you for identifying that

Philips DuraMax and GE Miser forever!  Classic incandescents are the best incandescents!

Stop the lamp bans!

What model number is the ballast?

If the house was built in the '70s or '80s, that ballast is definitely a replacement.
