Nice! It looks a lot like a NEMA type bucket crammed into a cobrahead. I wonder how the light distribution would be without changing the optics - i.e. using the horizontal lamp & conventional reflector?

I'm lampin...

Thanks! I will have to try that and see how the light distribution is when I install a ballast in the fixture.

You should go back and see if you can get the rest of the fixture.

Hey Niall, yes I will have to go back and see if the rest of the fixture is still there, unfortunately it's out of the way and I don't travel to that location very often.

Hey Jace, yes I tried it with the top housing of the fixture you gave to me.

Is the lamp in this fixture vertical, in the same fashion as a bucket light or is it horizontal above the lens ?

The real ones are vertical.....but not the one above....because its a regular GE M-250R with a crime fighter door.....but the real crimefighter fixtures have vertical mounted lamps

Makes sense. I would imagine then that the real ones would emit more light than the ones like the one above.

Have you taken out the reflector on yours? Do you know if it has the screw points for the crimefighter style reflector and socket mount?

I checked it out and unfortunately there isn't any screw points in the middle of the reflector area of the top housing to attach to.I can design a metal bracket to mount a crimefighter reflector that could be attached from the socket bracket to the bottom door latch tab that is screwed into the front of the top housing.

The brighter the better.
