Sylvania B2224 80W Merc. Circa 89-03?

Sylvania B2224 80W Merc. Circa 89-03?

This is a very common fixture that's installed around Australian roads (well in Melbourne at least!) but is being replaced by another Sylvania lantern with more of a cutoff than this one (Sylvania Urban). Looks similar to the B3000 but smaller and still with the 80W merc lamp and gear.

Welcome to Lighting-Gallery!

I have seen GE's Crimefighter pics. I also have seen Sylvania's "Crimefighter." (This one.) Wonder whether westy has made a similar one. Same goes for Philips. How old is this Sylvania?

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.

Sorry about that, added these pics late last night...titles are being added!
yes, the refractor is made of plastic. This light was made in 1992? Usually the have the manufactured date in black underneath but this one was bought from an electrical wholesaler which don't mark them.

Could never explain why I risk so much to collect them!

Makes me think of a cross breed of a Chicago crime fighter and a holophane.

Same stuff, Different Day!
