My Dual Lite EVHC6I LED Emergency Light

My Dual Lite EVHC6I LED Emergency Light

Click to view full size image

Well, this is my first emergency light I got, and I brought it off on ebay. It was $20, plus shipping was free. The only purpose of this unit, is that it has a battery compartment on the front means, that I don't have to take out the unit, while changing a bad battery on it, and this emergency unit has Dual Lite's Spectron self-diagnostics circuitry. This emergency light has the LED heads on the side, and they are bright, in fact, I was wrong, I thought the unit's heads weren't bright, but I was wrong, its bright, and it has a 12.8 volt nickel hydride (NiMh) rechargeable battery. Even in a power outage, it lights up my room when a outage happens.

Very nice unit! I love Dual lite products! Dual lite's emergency lights and exit signs are the best units on the market. Exit signs that other companies manufacture use very cheap LEDS that go dim after a few years. Dual lite exit signs always stay bright because they use high quality LEDs.

UPDATE: After the 90 minute (1hr. and 30min.) test, it has passed! It kept running till about 2 hrs. 43 min. and 15 sec. So yeah, definitely a good battery.

Awesome! The school I'm doing volunteer work on with a friend has a bunch of incandescent wedge base and we're going to use LEDs to get more runtime..I've always wished they'd keep the same battery with the new LED fixtures for that reason but they always get smaller batteries

That's because of parts and labor, which makes the product cheaper to ship now these days.
