I'm pretty sure i've seen these at Walmart being sold as Lights Of America shoplights.

Old lighting is, and will always be, the best lighting.

Who would want to use anything from Lights of "America?" LEDs or fluorescent. They're simply garbage. People might have one around as either it's their first fluorescent fixture or they use it to experiment.

Or the house came with it and people got bit by the lazy bug to put up something better and actually used the cheap lights.

Why I like LEDs on top of other lighting tech?
LEDs = Upgrade 95% of the applications. (That is if you avoid eBay's LEDs).

LED brainwash? No, people uses them cuz they work well for them.

Couldn't agree more, just about everything they make today is garbage, some of their older stuff seems to be better though (like my LOA under cabinet fixture from the 70's and some of their older CFLs seem to be decent).

I wonder if this fixture is convertable to fluorescent..... Maybe it could be a good idea, since I can probably take out the LED strips, and its LED driver and put a magnetic F40 T12 ballast, and two F40 T12 lamps with T12 lamp holders, and maybe starters FS-4 for preheat action!
