Got a 120v fixture that runs 2x 58w lamps

To my surprise, I found this fixture at a thrift store. Preheat, 5' long, 110v. Couldn't this be too good to be true, as the F58T8 lamp is not a common type in the states?

That is an AWESOME find! It should run 65 watt T12s fine also.

Preheat Fluorescents forever!
I love diesel engines, rural/farm life and vintage lighting!

Ok, tomorrow I post pics of the ballasts. I'm out of room for new uploads for the next 24 hours. Basically though, its an European F58T8 choke wired in series with a step up autotransformer. Two of each in this fixture. The ballasts and fixture are made in Spain. Luz de Espanol!

Wonder if such a ballast could run a 50w Mercury Vapour, if so I hope o come across one

Just buy a HX 50w merc ballast, they show on the bay from time to time.
