Lantern at Zebulun/Lilenblun, that I found glowing dim orange and sometime flickering

I've seen this lantern from my hostel, glowing much dimmer it used to be, from some unknown reasons. This is an AEG Koffer 150, that usually doing bizarre temporary cycles during roadlighting, which sometimes lasts tens of mins, and ends with a cold ignition.
But now I've seen it glowing very dim, so I went to it.
What cause this dim orange glowing and flickering?

Update 12/2/2015: It is dead now. When I went to Zebulun/Qiryat Frostig bus station, I've noticed that this dimmed out lantern, not operate at all.

Please forgive me if my choice of my words looks like offensive, while that isn't my intention.

I only working with the European date format (dd.mm.yyyy).

I lives in Israel, which is a 230-240V, 50hz country.

Sometimes its normally the seals that leak oxygen into the lamp that make it glow a dim orange colour, also that could be the reason the lamp didn't work the next morning ( safety feature in SON lamps ) if oxygen leaks in to the outer jacket it will run much hotter and burn out the arc tube electrode supports and die.
