Yeah the ED17 lamps are small. a mogul base ED23.5 MV lamp will fit perfectly in this.

I find it funny how they offer the 50-150W PSMH lamps in ED28 mogul base. They should offer them in ED23.5. ED28 is a little big IMO for such a low wattage lamp.
