Found this in the 33/45 Bar in Barcelona. Pendant fixture formed to a tube by a couple of EOL 36W fluorescent tubes and lighted with two incandescent lamps in the center.

And now imagine, if all the tubes would be working and powered...

And using a bit shorter fluorescent tube (F21T5,...) in the middle wouldn't look bad either...

No more selfballasted c***

Would be interesting to make one out of 8ft Powergrooves
May I find a bunch of EOL Powergrooves at our local recycle center?

The literal “fluorescent fixture” get it?
That fixture is amazing I can make a 4’ version of it I just have to make it
It would be cool if 2 fluorescent lights were in there instead of the incandescent but still looks cool

That's what I would do just make it the next size down so yu don't see the lamp holders. You could epoxy lamp holders in the groove in a pg17 then put a f36t12HO in there if It lined up?

And the PG tubes would make it easy to snake a wire in the fixture so you don't have any gap in the top of the fixture...
