1000w MH troffer close up

1000w MH troffer close up

Here is a close-up of one of the 1000w MH troffers. I never knew they were made in 1000w, only 400w. I can't tell if the cover is missing, or if it is a clear glass cover. Were these ever sold with transparent covers?

A fitness/health club here uses these exact same fixtures in their high-ceilinged racquetball courts, though brightness is about the same as a more typical 400w installation due to distance each fixture is spaced (500-600sq ft of ceiling space per troffer), that and the fact that many of the lamps were well aged and greened out. And yes, these do have clear lenses as I distinctly remember the ones I saw peppered with dead flies
