Id. Think that super blue used for movie making in some of there process. Is this a 4 foot bi pin lamp?

No LED gadgets, spins too slowly.  Gotta  love preheat and MV. let the lights keep my meter spinning.

Yep for movie making. These are still made
Under Kino flo. They burn a blue-violet color
And intense like u said. It will work fine on 40 watt RS but ment to run on HO ballast.

Cool find.
I tried to score some of these off eBay once, but didn't win the auction.
