Aaron, do you have a preference on those electronic T12/HO ballasts? I may think of replacing some of the magnetic ones we have that have failing capacitors and are getting dimmer.

My T8 ballast recommendations:
1. Sylvania/Osram
2. Universal
3. GE
4. Philips/Advance

The more you hate the LED movement, the stronger it becomes.

Interestingly, the KMarts here don't even have fluorescent lamps/ballasts on the shelves in Rhode Island. I gotta travel to Massachusetts to see a lighting section in a KMart. I don't know why that is though. I never really shop at KMart anyway. From what I hear, Sears ain't doing so well either! The Sears stores around here have all been around forEVER. It would be a shame to see them shut down, but they really don't offer a whole lot compared to "back in the day" when they had a pretty extensive lighting line in-store. They don't sell any lighting at any of the Sears I've been to.

The first ever Kmart (in garden city) is closing. I go there every once in a while. The one near me is always active and is staying open.

There's only one KMart in Rhode Island, which is remaining open. Though one KMart right over the RI border in Massachusetts is shutting its doors. There's two Sears on RI (one of which is closing) and there's also three Sears Hometown Stores (which are actually independently owned stores that sell Sears merchandise, sorta like a franchise) in RI, which AFAIK are all remaining open, as they're not owned by Sears.
