Well, Xcel energy has started replacing the wood pole lights with these shoes, er, LED street lights. They are GE Evolve lights and they are horrible glarebombs when you approach them from the side. They didn't use 3000k either like I hoped they would. They might be a good replacement for 100w HPS (but they only light a small area under them than the larger area the HPS lit) but they are NOT a good replacement for the 150w HPS that used to be on this road. (it is noticeably dimmer). I dread the day when I come home and find all of the HPS lights on my block replaced with these. :(

Try the new 0 watt LED streetlight! You can put as many up as you want, they use no power! If the road is not well enough lit and accidents happen often, try bringing over some portable metal halide light stands to light the road!

Don't be fooLED, T8 IS the worst thing to do to a magnetic T12 fixture.
