This is my gift-horse. Some of the stuff thrown in the big purple bin are just awesome. Diving in it for about 18 months.

The one on the left is from an adjoining company, mostly scrap wood. But I have found: rotating amber emergency lights, some good plywood and a nice office chair in that one.

Very nice finds I have done some diving myself in the past, usually when a renovation bin is located not to far from me, scored troffers, ballasts, lamps etc. And then theres normal curbside shopping. I have a wooden flatbed trailer for my bike i built out of a bike carriage, i do my rounds once a week for electronics, fixtures, tvs etc lol. As lodge said, amazing the things people will toss out

Lightingguy1994, I've found a stainless steel fridge with full pull out shelves, it didn't even smell like old fridges tend to do, it wasn't even two years old, nothing wrong with it except the compressor was unplugged, I also found a matching kenmore front load washer and dryer pair, nothing wrong with it except for about $50 in change stuck in the trap of the washer, which was pretty sweet to find and I honestly wasn't expecting that, so the wife put a quick halt to the stainless washer drum fire pit idea I had and out the door went the 20 year old top load I used to have...

But yea I'm always amazed, yet if you go asking for it they either won't sell it because of liability reasons, or they insist they need it yet they go and toss it a few days later...

Wow thats definitely a score for finding the washer and dryer and $50 on top of that as well as the fridge .

Early last fall I found a sylvania minifridge that has a tiny little freezer compartment as a bonus. Its black and has a stainless steel door. Loaded it into my bike trailer and brought it home and plugged it in, gave it time to freeze and it worked fine! The inside was clean but cleaned it anyway and the door had drawings from kids but that washed off no problem. Its still working presently in my basement.

2 years ago I found a samsung 50inch plasma on the curb with remote in excellent shape, strapped it in to the bike trailer ( that was quite a site for people i imagine LOL it just fit in the box ) . It would turn on but randomly shut off. Discovered the soldier connecting a relay in the powerboard was poorly done, retouched it with the iron and worked great ever since. Also have a few 32in samsung LCD tvs and computer monitors I found that just needed capacitors and a projector with remote that just needed a new lamp (from ebay).

Also found a few lights here and there, my friend usually has better luck finding those for me. Because I use a bike and a flatbed trailer for it, i usually just stick to taking light fixtures and electronics and anything else of interest
